UV DTF Transfer Application Instructions

What You'll Need

• Your UV DTF transfer
• Isopropyl alcohol or glass cleaner
• Lint-free cloth
• Squeegee, scraper, or a credit/gift card

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Clean the Surface

Wipe the application area thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol or glass cleaner to remove fingerprints, dust, oils, and residue. Allow the surface to dry completely before applying your transfer. Proper surface preparation is one of the most important steps for long-lasting adhesion.

2. Prepare the Transfer

Before peeling the backing, place the transfer on a flat surface and firmly rub over the entire design using a squeegee or credit card. This helps ensure the design adheres to the clear carrier sheet.

3. Peel the Backing

Slowly peel away the white backing paper. The entire design should remain attached to the clear carrier sheet.

If any part of the design stays on the backing, press it back down and rub firmly before continuing.

4. Position Your Design

Carefully align the transfer on your item before applying pressure.

Important: UV DTF transfers are permanent. Once the adhesive touches the surface, it cannot be repositioned without damaging the design.

5. Apply Firm Pressure

Starting from the center and working outward, firmly press the entire design onto the surface using your squeegee or card. This helps eliminate air bubbles and ensures complete adhesion.

6. Remove the Carrier Film

Slowly peel the clear carrier sheet away at a low angle.

If any portion of the design begins lifting, lay the carrier sheet back down, rub firmly again, and continue peeling slowly.

7. Allow the Adhesive to Cure

For best results, allow the transfer to cure for 24 hours before washing or heavy use.
